Afternoon Sun
Shade casts a chilly blanket upon the afternoon wall
As the sun takes refuge behind the midday clouds
Letting not the warm fingers of sunlight’s rays
Caress the weary travelers on their journey through life
Oh, winter sun, peer your weary eyes from behind the clouds
And allow us the pleasure of your warmth and light for guidance
