Afternoon Delight
We lie as one in dazing heat,
with thumping hearts and dancing eyes;
then, finding that elusive beat,
our passion swells in breathless rise.
In lust, I never hoped to find
the sum of parts that equals love;
but you, My Dear, untied my mind
and showed what it consisted of.
A portion of our chemistry
entwines with subtle pheromones,
to find the mix of you and me
in perfumed scents and light colognes.
The blend complete, we move as one,
in tandem with a silent tune;
two lovers writhing in the sun
until we sleep beneath the moon.
