Aftermath

The ground a strewn with brambles
overgrown with ache
our gaze upon, the moon opaque
we walk the worn road
we bleed its path
leaving hearts and minds behind
We are the thorn.

The poison fog amidst
We walk along in awe
Due is the date of ill demise
We strip our soles to the raw
We walk a bloody path
We walk the will alone
the bloody aftermath
Of Humanity's Nuclear War.
