Afterglow

AFTER GLOW

She said --- my skin is singing

Night air dances with your kiss

There’s ancient music ringing

conducted by our bliss

He said--my heart is racing

Like there is more to come

As my life is chasing

To beat a mighty drum

She said-- my eyes are blazing

With colors never known

Their pulsing is amazing

a vision rarely shown

he yawned and said --Sweet Darling

Let’s hold each other tight

Contemplate in silence

Our most romantic night

She yearned for all night talking

To explore his inner mind

But wisely kissed his ear good night--

To dig another time.

Well done Victoria. This was a great write. You displayed the emotions very well. I enjoyed this one very much. If you would like to read how I approached the subject, try "Sweet Love" or "Lovers Moon". Thanks for sharing a very good read. The rhyme and rhytym were very pleasing. Rockman :-)

glad you liked it....this one just came by itself...doesn't happen often to me...but sometimes.... it does sound like a nursery rhyme, although I didn't notice it until you mentioned it!
