After Yule

Reflection after Yule

So it is Tuesday after Christmas
today it a salad and water the diabetes
is not fond too much festivities
but it was fun when it lasted.
It is an overcast day matching my mood
having to bow to an illness.
Death on the roads have taken its toll
many car collision people driving too fast
wine makes many courageous
to reach a destination they will not enjoy
and it was so unneeded.
Back in Palestine that once went from Jordan
To the middle- sea many you freedom fighters
Have lost their life in the noble cause
Fighting for what was lost when the intruders came,
it is a David and Goliath war that only can
be won by cunning, and unheard goes the tears
of their mothers.
