After Your Heartbreak
Life seemed an adventure filled with joy...
when you met that handsome boy;
you flew through skies without clouds:
trusting in him kept you from doubts.
After your heartbreak darkness descended;
nights without warmth turned in nightmares,
they had no moonlight's glow, no stars...
even dreams remained totally unchanged.
Before tears were sweet, now they are very bitter;
you lived the fable of Cinderella and happy
to be in a fantasy world, you drifted from reality...
stepping into imaginary dreams of glitter.
After your heartbreak, you wound up completely alone
losing strength and giving into hopelessness;
your thoughts were deranged, you became a cold stone...
all you wanted was some hugs of tenderness.
With head bent and trembling hands you surrender
finding no consolation in either words or smiles;
whatever they tell you seems not to really matter...
and spinning the wheel, you fail in useless tries.
