After the Rainfall
as I breath in the sultry scent in the air
after the rainfall
the thick clouds have cleared revealing
an inky blue sky
peppered with the night's twinkling stars
as I feel the perfumed humidity in the air
after the rainfall
the fluffy clouds meandering pass exposing
an aqua blue sky
painted with the morning's arcing rainbow
as I taste the clean dewiness in the air
after a rainfall
the pillowy clouds drift along opening up to
an indigo blue sky
the late afternoon sun quickly drying the ground
after the rainfall
