After the Pandemic

I will go to the meadow where the lacy flowers glow. Nurtured by sunlight that flows in from all directions. I will pass Queen Anne’s lace, tulips, iris and daffodils. Lavender and lilac’s fragrances will flow into my essence. I will go to the forest where moss and violets greet me. I will feel the roughness of oak’s bark as I hug him happily. Tiny ants climbing onto my skin will delight me, and I them. I will stop to admire the red and yellow mushrooms. I will go to the prairie where tall grasses hide me from the bobcat. I will feel his eyes on me, but know I am safe, for God has me. Grasshoppers, moths, and a beautiful monarch will greet me. The day will be warm and inviting; I will feel loved here. I will go to the brook where I can take off my shoes and wade. Feeling the rounded pebbles under my feet. The deer will walk by in a dainty way, and I will be silent. I will feel cherished, like I am a part of the gurgling brook. I will go to the sea where I will smell the ocean. I will get on a boat and I will travel around waving and yelling. Others will be waving and yelling back. We will have a huge party on the dock, laughing and dancing all night.
