Oh Sara, I'm sorry. I hope you're all ok. I do hate that smell, we had a leak last year from a pipe, and the carpet smelled awful. Hugs to you, I hope it gets fixed soon.

Don't you just hate that smell?! I don't know what's worse, that smell or leftover smoke from a fire. Both pretty awful.

Gershon, yes, the soured carpet smell is horrible and after a fire the smell is not pleasant as well. If they come in with water to put out the fire it is doubly horrible. We have not had that kind of fire, but my husband's sister's house caught on fire in the attic and the water damage to put it out was bad. Sara
