After Disaster

Another day another tragedy
How will the media portray the catastrophe?
It was a beautiful world now it's full of ugly sights
The coward will be called a lone wolf because he's white

We all know he's a terrorist
But the media won't label him that
In all of this destruction how do we repair the bits?
Let's have a moment of silence for all the fallen souls we were unable to catch

Stephen Paddock is a coward and I feel sick when I say his name
How can one man be the cause of so much pain?
He took the lives of and injured Innocent men, women and children
Donald Trump is too busy focusing on the wall he's building

Every month we have a new tragedy to deal with
We're still overcoming the last, so how do we heal this?
Nowhere is safe, kids can't even go to concerts anymore
I don't want the world to hurt anymore

Some will ask why is an English man writing this?
I believe we all should support each other in times like these
I've got tears in my eyes as I'm typing this
I hope one day we somehow manage to find peace

I hope those who lost loved ones, find a way to cope
We have to stand together after disaster
I'm writing this to send well wishes to those who matter
May you all find some kind of hope
