Africa
O, Dark Continent, bountiful and blessed
Ebony and ethereal; glittering like polished
tar
A sanguine soul, exuding greatness
Plagued with a plethora of inhumanity
To suit imperial incontinence
Plodding through the Third World with a
humiliating history
Yet standing out tall, optimistic and proud
Infused with many tribes and beliefs;
A cauldron filled with favoured spices
You, whose reach extends to the frays
Of Europe and Carribea
Whose tears blossom vegetation
Africa, find solace in your existence
And show the world that you are good!
