Africa
You are born
By the hand of
the almighty. 

Africa
A kaleidoscope of
Rich colour and
endless power. 

Africa
Queen sugar
Cradle to hold us
Sovereign majesty. 

Africa
With roses between
Your thighs 
Moons on your palm.

Africa
The gold around 
Your waist 
Swings in a sparkle dance.

Africa
Fought for by the
Blood of our fathers’
Courage. 

Africa
The promise for the
future and the 
New found land. 

Africa 
Lone flower planted
Deep in Sahara’s hands
The desert’s beloved. 

Africa
The envy of the universe
For her perilous curves,
Stretched arms. 

Africa
You are honey straight 
From the comb on the
Finger of your love. 

Africa
Her face never aging 
Black as the moonless sky
Liquid smooth like dew. 

Our promised hope
Unrefined diamond
We love you
Africa.
