Afraid To Love

Some days I've felt unstable
sinking into a void of disbelief
some would try to resist it
for it usually brings only grief

love they say is a pathway...
to a life of lonely remorse
an addiction to pain and sadness
that ends in showing force

the mind gets twisted
leading to a moment of tears
the hurt flowing deep inside you
a part of life you have come to fear

your ignorance to reality
has left you aching over time
the sad truth has revealed itself
nothing but shame you have come to find

there in lies the problem
can you really love without a sad ending?
can you go through life loving someone
and expect them not pretending?

I'm Afraid To Love!!
