Aerophobia

Fluffy icebergs floating in the atmosphere,
Far away,
Storm clouds rolling,
Calling.
All hail the tempest viciously dawning,
Sleepers dreaming,
Comforted, slumbering
In the moment of oblivion.
Islands on the horizon moving,
Or are those the world's end?
The sky,
A breath away.
The sea,
A foot beneath.
The breaking, mysterious
Point where heaven and earth
Are meeting.
Where everything is merging.
We are so high flying.
Engines rumbling, the bird's wings are widening
Perhaps land is just on the other side.
Turning, tossing,
In the sky.
Shaking,quaking,
In the wind.
Still sleepers are still dreaming.
That secret Harbour stowed away.
Hearts beating, hearts pumping,
Out of the slim oval window looking.
To the world in the sky.
