Aerial Circus Dream

For Suzette's contest, The Pirouette Poetry Contest, by 30 September 2025

At a moment of time
with the strike of the clock
she was holding a cord
getting ready to fly.
     She fell flat
     splat face down
     acrobat
     that was done
     copycat.

Thanks Randy, for your comment. Appreciated. (Slightly less hazardous to try pretend trapeze than pretend flight. ) Sorry re late reply! J :)

How nightmarish that fall could be! A great entry for the contest. All the best dear Jeanette.

Thanks Valsa. It's meant to be a child playing, and the splat is just a tumble from a couch to the floor... not so bad.
