Adventures in Store

               Poseidon beckons
                 Set sail tomorrow
               instruments, provender
                  to beg or borrow

               choppy waves,
                  darkling horizon
               adventures in store
                  a sailor's eyes on

A great/fun read. I enjoyed this one. Be careful on the high seas. Have a fun day writing away..........

Take the plunge for sure...everything is a crap-shoot. Lived long enough now to know that God could have had me 10X's over already, if that was His Will. "If not for the Grace of God...". Blessings my friend.

That's for sure, Joe. Amazing any of us are still alive, isn't it?

Hello Gershon, that classic you-voice, lean, salt-aired, already halfway down the gangplank before the rest of us even find our sea legs. It reads like a man who’s not chasing adventure so much as answering it. A clean, confident little launch. Amen! Blessings, Daniel —Daniel

Appreciate the 'critic's-corner-quality' analysis, Daniel. ~ gw

This is an enjoyable poem. I've always wondered what it would be like to be shipside during a tempest. Your poem delivers a heroic adventure.

I'd rather wonder... than be!
