Advantageous

It is sometimes advantageous To be getting on in years, For it qualifies you to be Vaccinated, it appears. The flip side, though, is obvious – The experts all have said That the older folk with Covid Will more often end up dead. The conclusion, then – in some respects It’s better to be young. Though you can’t get the vaccine, The fearful you won’t be among.

I just read what Maurice wrote. I got deathly sick after a flu shot 8 years ago but I still want this one. For I feel this virus could make me “end up dead.”

I'm worried about possible side effects of the vaccine. Some years ago I got flu shot and came down with side effects, so didn't get the shot for a few years. This year I did. So far no side effects. Even with the best of human intentions there's always the ugly "unknown." / Maurice

I hope you don't have trouble getting the vaccine, Ilene. Distribution is poor where I live and seniors are waiting on outdoor lines (with no port-a-potties) for more than 24 hours. I admire the dark humor in this poem! Hugs, Carolyn

Israel have already vaccinated 70% of their seniors - the fastest distribution in the world! A Six-Day War against COVID-19! Bring it on! Aloha! Rico

Getting on in years has its perks I suppose, the only downside is aches and pains. Tom

Oh, c'mon, ilene! (As Biden would say. lol). It's soooo much better to be old! We're like fine wine! --- until we turn to vinegar, anyway. lol. ~ Getting better, not older

I have been out of work for about a month due to something else: shingles. I am right-handed, and my right arm has been practically useless. That's the other thing I have to worry about besides covid-19. Great write as usual, Ilene.
