Advanced Age

Oh time,

My once trusted childhood friend,

It is so difficult for me to accept the fact

That with the passing of years

You have turned into 

A vengeful foe!

I really do not look at time as my enemy, for I have lived a full life. I now look forward to a better one. Yes, it is a booger to feel the aches and pains but I suppose at some point every debt has to be paid, right? Enjoyed reading you today, Demetrios. Imagine that we anticipate the coming in our life of the person we love the most then our time is our best friend but what about when the one we love, in a year or so will not be with us anymore? Will still the time be our friend? The time as such, of course, is indifferent, it is our perspective of time that changes and this is what I am talking about but also the coming of old age with all the negatives it brings that are nothing to be celebrated!
