Adrift
Lost as sea
Drifting aimlessly
Within crowds of faceless
Lonesome ebb and tide
An ordinary man's conscience
Love adrift as dream
In tempered heart
Unbelieving faithless
Waiting for a rescue
Are we set upon horizons
Passing in the distance
Day after day
Mundane living out
A ghost ship's existence
Endurance
Is merely for the brave
To forsake what is mere survival
As fearing souls fight to surface
The bombardment of blase in waves
A world, a current, a riptide, love and hate
Conspicuous rivals betwixt a human race
One drags to drown the spirit
And the other brings us to safe
