Elf Adrie creeps into surviving elongaged Germanic black forest shadows Boichem, tolerant gargoyle, pretends indifference. They have pussyfooted around each other for decades Pretending the other does not exist. Adrie sends up a plea to her cousin Faral, the half-faery Who replies, but is eaten by gargoyle upon forest entry.
