Adorable While Sleepy

You’re adorable when you’re sleepy
Hands ball into fists,
My hand I just kissed,
Turning my head so you can’t see me
Snicker, and giggle at your baby lion cub yawn
That feline stretching,
I’m almost betting, you know what you do all along.
Little pink tongue out,
And your eyes become innocent bedroom browns
Blinking so slowly and sweetly at me.
I can’t help but to smile
Because with the absence of guile
Your arms wrap around me
And I am your living Teddy.
