Premiere Contest WinnerAdmiration From a Distance

Tracing the silhouette of her hourglass shape, I think of succulent lemons, those ripe citrus display of pure divinity just waiting to be peeled and deliberately savored... I gaze upon those valleys, hills of flesh, wanting to run wild through her verdant splendor, but then again, in all my distant admiration and passion she's an eternal goddess, life's timeless image of art... and I am only a human. .............. The magnitude of admiration for the arts within someone's soul is proportional to the artistic ability of the person in question! An artistic writing worthy of winning dear, nette! Good luck!

I wrote a poem inspired by your contest. It is a new form but it doesn't rhyme and its 15 lines long. I thought you might still enjoy it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Now, this is a unique, refreshing take for the contest. Using "distance" as a metaphor is brilliant!

A unique voice!I know that feeling ; being involved in art becomes a distant thing when we can't own it, not even the one who created it. Tremendous imagery with a star-struck ending!

Hi Nette, I do believe this is why we stare for hours at beautiful works of art. To take our hearts and minds away to that special place in our souls where peace and contentment resides. Very well done Nette. Blessings Carl

Superb work of poetic art. I collect paintings and the distant, hidden admiration you convey is far more than stunning---what images you create!
