Adios

Many can say they have seen but few ever knew.
The man behind the work.
So dont question when ya hear the news.
Crying without a clue.

We all follow a road to each his own.
Your's i hope reflects happiness.
But the one im on is cold and alone.

Take my words and hold them close.
And feel there pain.
For my friends for now it's adios.

Im not bitter far from the fact.
whats the use to try.
When ya know the deck is stacked.

From a place im no longer willing to return.
The chapter is written.
For whom it does concern.

I ask you to laugh often and recall.
Failed efforts in a quest.
That crashed into this invisable wall.

there are no fingers to point for
I alone share the blame.
Forget the action and forever
remember the name.

Take this lost soul wrap it in
your arms and forever keep it close.
Listen to the wind for
my friends this is adios.

The sadness in your poem is so moving, John. You are an important part of the Soup family and I hate to think we won't have the priviledge of reading more of your work. If you're just saying "adios" to troubles that have plagued you recently, then that is a welcome relief. But I will hold you in my heart and hope to see more of your outstanding poetry. Love you, John! Carolyn

Like the way this one is put together. I do hope that this is not really good-bye. Keep writing. Sara
