This is a non contest poem. I use contest themes to recover my muse.
Someone claims to have risen above the materialistic glee,
But I see her flaunting her beauty on TikTok posts,
She may have thousands of followers,
But she confesses, she is a lonely soul.
When she is beautiful and sexy,
With her nice body, flowing hair, and sweet voice,
She is hotly pursued by the followers from all over the world,
But she disappears when she gets out of focus on the scroll.
What will happen to her, when she gets a little old,
With wrinkles on the face, which makeup would not hide,
When flowing hair will recede and grey will appear,
All the Yo Peeps will disappear except for soulmate forever.
Showing beauty is a natural dream for a woman,
Nice dresses, jewelry, and handsome companions,
Pleases her wishes and fulfills her dreams,
But these shallow perceptions disappear,
when you don’t have a heart-to-heart connection.
