Addiction

How can I deceive you
My troubled and twisted mind
You were once without a clue
Till on my destructive path you signed
Through hell and high water
I've dragged your very soul
And almost to your slaughter
You've paid a heavy toll
Until the light of recovery
Entered into your being
With the rays of discovery
That you are now seeing
Put faith in the Lord
Take nothing for granted
Use the past as your sword
Your world will be enchanted
To know one self is key
Align yourself in that direction
With your minds eye you'll see
Scrutinize with deep inspection
Once you uncover the truth
From deep within your mind
It doesn't take a sluth
To see what's been confined
