Diction slurred because you use
Drugs enough to kill you dead 
Indigo soul please clear your head
Carry your heart to the Son
Two bullets shot from your gun
In denial that you need help
Onyx crack smile and ill health
Not even your child can make you care

We all judge addicts, not knowing what addiction is, first,addicts do not choose be that!! And even if they stop, people hate them. An addict IS being unable to stop using a substance . There is a mental component to addictions, they have nothing to do with morality. Too many of us look down on them. Better we Say, “ there, but for the grace of God, go.I”. Millions get and stay sober till they die. 12 Step programs are available 24 hours a day across the globe. Thanks, Karen. Pangie

I know! I have had at least six alcoholic friends, hang, shoot or set themselves om fire. Some verbally abused me. I was responding so that others know there is help.. 12 step programs are for the victims of users. Like Alanon.Most people cannot afford therapy. Good you shared this with us. Forgiveness beats righteousness. Thank you. Pangie

I write from my own experiences and I have had both positive and negative experiences with my close family member who also sexually abused me. I don’t know that addiction played a role in that or if it is unrelated. I just know that I forgave but I still till this day have dreams from which my poems help me purge and escape. Thanks Pangie
