Addicted to Love I am addicted to you sweet child. You made me laugh, from your first smile to the first time you called my name. Nothing from there will ever be the same. I wanted to make the world perfect. Rainbow days, with and without rain. Snow... in winter. Birds singing in spring, that seemed to continue all year through. Magically. Walks in the gardens, talks at the beach. Full moon nights, and mountain heights... Picnics with teddy bears, and county fairs. You grew up too fast, and nothing really lasts. Knights turn to rust, but the memory you can trust. Warrior moms, Viking fathers... Doing our best to get past the test, better than the rest, truly prayerfully, mercifully, gracefully allowed... to hang on for just a little while, only to be pushed to let go, in the end.

Wow, Ann, having a daughter, I can relate easily to this poem. My daughter and I are close. She married and has a son.we live 15 minutes apart. That’s a gift. She is here right now, working from my home.she wrotea few poems here under the name Elena Eagle.we have grown closer as I aged. Have faith, Ann. Merci, Pangie
