Addicted To Attention

Honestly if i'm being honest to me I am addicted to attention
           addicted to the head turns
               the hey ma's
               can I get your numbers?
               Addicted to being called pretty
Addicted to the latest and most eye catching things
My routine surrounds around being noticed
From the things I say to what I do
I don't even think it's an act anymore
                           It's just what I do
So for me it's hard to accept some new faces
                            tryna take my attention
making me feel less than them
                              Confidence is a wonderful thing
but it could also mean my downfall
Jealousy might rear it's ugly head
I need to stay on top or i'm nothing
I don't know how I got this way
Maybe a long time of feeling ugly
                                              Now I need validation
                                               Cause now i'm beautiful
I want to look in all the people's faces and laugh
                                             cause I turned out good
                                              cause now I get attention
                                                 and I like it
But attention is the poison that will slowly kill me
                                                      Cause i'm addicted
