Addicted
I was on the verge of total annihilation
So it was time to get some rehabilitation
Can’t believe it was a doctor that got
me addicted
That’s something I would have never
predicted
Before I realized it I had lost all control
My free will, it had definitely stole
I was tired of being alone and
disconnected
Praying for my life to be resurrected
I got down on my hands and knees
Begging that I could beat this
disease
I was so far gone, I had nothing
to give
But I kept pushing forward cause I
wanted to live
For so many years I lived a life of
oppression
Getting sober is now my new obsession
Tough letting go of what I thought
was my identity
Now I’m one step closer to finding
true serenity
