Adam West

ZAP: I declare that he was the best
ZONK: For no-one could beat Adam West
On TV most nights
Blue-grey vest and tights
THUNK: And a bat right there on his chest

KLUNK: Perhaps I was easily led
THUD: Accepting whatever was said
For then unlike now
His fists went KAPOW
SPLAAT: He wore two bat ears on his head

CRASH: Adam West impresses my gran
BANG: He’s much more than merely ‘Batman’ 
WALLOP: Kicks go BAM
THWACK: As fists go WHAM
CLANG: He’s Onomatopoeia Man

Wouldn't want to see it now as I suspect I’d realise how lame it really was (by today’s standards). Best left as a fond memory, me thinks ;-)

I think that old TV series was plain simple fun… even the baddies were fun characters. Today’s Batman is a far more sinister entity and the villains are just plain bad. I pretty much disassociate now-Batman from then-Batman. Glad you enjoyed.

I do enjoy the later Batman movies, but they’re not really Batman in my book… nowadays he can near as damn it fly.
