Ace

Which way do I go
my own way, you know?
you can't make or break me
acting like child that won't grow
I'm nothing like
what you think I am
steady as a rock now
because my life is grand

The river long
still sings its song
water rushing against the shore
back down like I never wanted more
what's this life for
what's this life for?

Come back to me
eagle flying free
I once tamed you
like the rage that's biting
telling me I am nothing
at least this nothing
has accomplished something

Quiet now?
no more babble to talk
that's all you are
a never ending war
nothing can break a rock
except maybe a diamond
harder than ever
is what I am finding

Don't you know
my hell is hotter
than the real one
where innocence is slaughtered
the day break so peaceful
it keeps me awake
as if you could ever
cut the head off this snake...

B.J. - touching poem, but so well done. And I agree in line - "nothing can break a rock", wish you all the best. - oxox hug Anne-Lise
