Acceptance
Ok I get it, it's time to move on
though I don't see where it went wrong
One day I love you
we are meant to be
then without warning
we were through
but it is ok I am drying my tears
and thanking my best friend
because he was here
he made me smile when I was sad
he became my sun in cold and bitter storm
the one you caused in my heart
that is tattered and torn
But have no fear
with you gone I will still smile
I will lift my head and hold it high
and send praises to the man in the sky
God and my best friend have been my rock
through this cold and bitter storm
They have never failed me
and I know they never will
So I accept this just another chapter
another page in my life's book
I realize that "first love"
isn't called your only love for a reason
so I am letting go, moving on
free of the clutches of loves cruel season
one day I will find Mr. Right
but hey I'm young I have all of my life!
