Acceptance

So you hang out with gay people And now you are gay. I'm sorry, mom.. It did not happen that way. I know its hard, For you to understand.. But please, if you can Try as hard as you can.. And i know that u said I could never tell dad.. But would it really Be all that bad? I love who i am And i wish u could too Not just the parts of me that u can pick and choose... I guess its all or nothing, And that's up to u.. But before u decide.. Know I'll always love you. I'm still the little girl, That brought so much joy to your life.. Why should that change Because I would prefer a wife? You can do the denial thing as I know that u will.. but just to remind u.. I will be gay still. I'm not going to change so Can u please accept me now? Please, oh please, Can u find a way how? It would mean so much you don't even know.. If when I'm around u, my true self could show.. I'm happy i told you.. don't get me wrong. I just wish acceptance wouldn't take u so long.. I'll love u til the day i die, If you cant do the same.. Can you please Just explain why? I'm your daughter, your child Your own flesh and blood. Don't drag that relationship Out through the mud. I'll say it again.. I'll love u forever.... But if you cant accept me... Forgive you, ill never..
