Accept Me As I Am Today

'Accept me me as I am today'

Accept me as I am today
Not old me 'fraid she can't stay
Don't make me feel it's in my head
One more excuse to stay in bed
You think that I want life like this?
You must be kidding, this pain ain't bliss

You want me to dance and laugh, go out
Not show you how it is, hide pout
Don't judge me for the way I feel
Sorry I lost my sex appeal

Can feel you fall away from me
The bond that glued like roots of tree
When dare to challenge tell sad truth
As pain gets 'real' don't hit the roof

So I pretend again that all's ok
So you can think you heard me say
"Yes you're right, of course 'I'm fine'"
Throw in another made up line
You don't really want to hear sad truth
None left the strength of fun led youth
