Accept Goodbye

I’m sorry it has to be like this.
I’m sorry I have to leave.
I’m sorry it turned out that way
and there’s nothing I can say.

Accept goodbye.
Know that I’m not coming back
Accept goodbye
Know that I can’t just come back

I’m sorry you have to hurt like this
I’m sorry that I caused all of this
I’m sorry that I was even there
Because I need to

Accept goodbye
Know you don’t want me back
Accept goodbye
Know you won’t let me back

I’m sorry it has to be like this
I’m sorry pain has to win
I’m sorry and this is all my fault
And you know I need to

Accept goodbye
Know that I can’t be with you
Accept goodbye
Know that we are through

…Forever.
