Abused and Misused

I've been through it so many times
Being hit on, used, and abused
Life is hard enough
Feeling like I've been played with rough
Innocent victim I was
Can't seem to get away
I found myself on my knees having to pray
My strength and dignity was gone
Many times I felt so alone
Looking for a better day
Instead I felt hopeless in everyway
I finally had faith enough to leave one day
Knowing that God would see me along the way

Masterfully written Donielle. Makes me think of the old saying. "Rode hard, and put up wet." Tired abused, and not too amused. Thanks for your comments today, glad to hear you enjoy my poetry. Sincerely, Moses

Hey Donielle, I am honored to be the first to comment on your amazing work. I am so sorry you had to experience this however, I am glad you know you were never alone-God was with you and you already had the solution in you. Knowing how much you're worth regardless of what someone else says-even those you trust- is something to always remember! Much love and peace to you, Audrey
