Absurd Animal Comparisons

   Scavenging relentlessly
     Some critters find food effortlessly

   Like possums, skunks and raccoons
Though not one of them carries a tune...

The arctic wolf rarely fills his belly
~ but at least he can howl at the moon

I enjoyed your poem, Gersho. Foolow up on wife's comment below. The coyotes get it going from time to time. BB

I chuckled as I read your comparative words. We live on the edge of town surrounded by undeveloped fields. So we have lots of critters--mostly possums, rabbits, mice, skunks, and coyotes. None of them has yet to sing. :-)

Yep, unlike kittens, those rodents are not known for their silver throats. lol.

I guess it’s just one of nature’s trade offs. I mean… I can barely hold a note…. but then, I’m far from malnourished. Enjoyed your absurd (your words) comparison ;-)

All comparisons are possum-ble ;) A ‘coon without a tune…well the stench of a skunk will not relent unless he’s doused in ketchup.
