Absolution
Lonely faces cast aside their chains of regret
The angry leave when they can see the nothing they met
Either despair in the end
Or the hope to ascend
Gravestones of a painful truth that shadow our lives
The marks of war that stand above as our past still decides
It’s not what’s within
It’s what we see and win
Through the ice our inner flame will rise and persuade
Then the water comes to wash away the flame that still stays
And past the dreams
We find ourselves and our needs
Destroy the world, we destroy ourselves – universally true
But selfishness will fear death and carry it through
Golden smiles
Raping and inner denials
Through the pain of demon lies, we rise and demand
That absolution wants to see some peace in our hands
The highest nights
Provoke a brighter light
