Absence

A lot has happened since you left, Becky will never be the same. Can you blame her? Daddy isn't with her anymore. All of her life, she will never have a father. Benevolent, you are indeed. Crying with her in my arms, Dead you are to me. Alas, I waste no tears on you, But for my life I weep. Caring for her alone, Door closed behind me. Another thing to worry about, Besides how you left. Can we survive the winter? Discouraged by the storm.
