Abseiling

My nervous knees shaking
Harnessed and ready to descend
Watching children practicing
and looking at me
The teachers taking pictures of me,
nervous and frightened
Logan encouraging me saying:
“Don’t be nervous .You can do it.”
Feeling the air rushing across my face
Here I go, descending
Closing my eyes
until I reach the grass
Slowly going down
with fright in my mind
Reached the grass
without noticing
Listening to my friends say:
“Dominic, you did it!!”
Opening my eyes
Looking at myself, unharnessed.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
