Above Clouds
people lost in the rush
i wait in line with the rest
waiting and observing
people leaving
as others wait they sit and learn.
out to defy the laws we are bound.
in the sorting it is easy to bypass the ones that yearn.
a chance to get away,
with no guarantee of a return
no matter how high you raise you can never forget that day.
try and fly with the birds,
but even they will say you dont belong here.
escape above the clouds,
while you live beneath in the crowds.
search the skies for another chance,
at night i fall into that same trance.
up this high surely now god can hear me,
you have heard my cries you know what i plead.
hauntings of past pain,
whilst i sit aboard this plane.
