Notes About The Poem

Washington needs to realize that Trump was elected with full adherence to the Constitution. He was elected by the country, not by the large populations in the cities. The United States needs the Electoral College now, more than ever. The main reason Trump won was because he was willing to go to the deplorables. Just sayin....

This is about the President
Who was not supposed to be
Neither party wanted him
Not the one that we should see

Was not a politician 
But he heard the country's call
Told of all the things he'd do
Would try hard to do them all

Both parties in denial
When the polls were closed and done
The people spoke in spite of them
And elected him the one

Republicans soon came aboard
Or made it so appear
Could not side with Democrats
At least not in the clear

Many still not with him
Those fakers should repent
And help him to accomplish
Those things for which was sent

Those items that he promised
Have been talked about for years
Parties agree they're needed
But not with Trump that's clear

He is not a politician 
Not what he's all about
The ones who are, don't want him
They just want to throw him out

They don't care about the voters
They just know he's not for them
He was elected by the people
Surely it was just a whim

For the people know of nothing
As do the ones upon the hill
Congress would like a veto
When they don't like the people's will
