About That Period of Deep
ABOUT THAT PERIOD OF DEEP
Life I believe is a summation of time,
And what we take out time to do,
Is what our life is really about;
So instead of saying time's a-wasting,
I say instead, life's a-wasting;
I bet you that sounds even worse,
When you think such thoughts as
My life's a-wasting
Which in truth as awful as it sounds,
Is what we do a great deal of the time.
The needful I tell you we scarcely know,
But here's the question I dare to ask,
The needful exactly what might that be?
Which incites a deeper thought awake,
What exactly my blessings be?
And here on earth, what do I do with it?
A purpose to fulfil, or excuses to make,
Failures and mediocrity even time that takes,
So maybe it really wasn't the divine's will,
Or maybe His face we more should seek.
Will understanding be the safest route?
For ordinary was not in the makers mix,
Not of this world but in it I dare well live,
So conquer my best, and defeat I dare beat.
I CAN I say, and by God I WILL!
For my source you see, is creativity itself,
So up I get and tall I dare stand,
For no power has failure over all that is me.
Imagine, Yes, as far as the eyes can see,
And my mind I then open to attain all I desire.
