If one aspires, a worthy teacher to become

On two prerequisites, he has to persevere:

First, his teaching subject ought to know thoroughly. 

Second, knowledge, above all things, he should revere!

To persevere is to meet God halfway perhaps. To know ones subject can be a hard task as it requires the teacher to accept the student sometimes will trip you up with an answer that proves we are all learners. To revere knowledge something that requires us to avoid shortcuts to obtaining it. As always completed another task well. Rgards David in NZ
