About A Dog And Cat

Some  people have pets
Two cats in their homes
Or a dog and cat
Some people will choose
A big pup and cat

I know a person
She has both pets
A cat an adult
The dog is a pup
Lives in the same house

It took a while 
For them to adjust 
They are now friendly
Playing together
They are best of friends

They get along well
Sleep in the same bed
Eat side by side
Pets are family
Living together

Dear Darlene, I adore your beautiful poem, especially "Pets are family/Living together" - so true! We had a cat, dog and a parrot living peacefully together for the past 11 years until our wonderful cat passed away. Now we just have the big dog and parrot. It's wonderful when your pets get along. That's pretty cool. I've never lived in a house with both a cat and a dog. It's pretty interesting that they can get used to each other like a family.

Cute poem. I live with a cat I once thought was my pet but the more I feed and care for her I'm pretty sure that I'm the pet instead. I hate to admit that she "Rukes the roost" around here. However, when a dog sees a cat from another home, it may become furious and consider it as an enemy..... Greetings and wishing you a shining day.

Dear Darlene, Yes, oh Yes, they are family and they have their own personalities and bring such great joy. I grew up on a Farm and we had lots of pets. Unfortunately today my wife and daughters have allergies to dogs and cats. I so loved reading your poem this morning.
