Abominable Spring

After the long, nuclear winter blizzard, came the abominable spring Permafrost thaw of a frozen solstice ... irradiated human cattle grazing on the solyent green Radiation contamination was a growing hazard; mutating, red-blooded bluebirds fed on decayed, crocus flesh flowering The chirps and the moos had a field of dead dreams reminisce — Gullet beak and the cud chew won a protein glut battle Of the spreading, abundant solyent green, there was no mushrooming scarcity Summer and autumn cannibal feast, bountiful harvest of an abominable spring
