Abattoir

Life the abattoir of emotions,
create the corps that is the heart.
What donnybrook takes the tole?
Empathy, the vicarious plight,
     direct the cruel incorrigible start.

Unusual comparison that is comparing a slaughter house to life's emotion...That is how it is sometimes though....Keep the creative thoughts flowing...Sara

this poem was great i loved how it was worded and i love to look at the darkerside of things, there is beauty even there, it also reminds me of the watchmen where he says the night screams like an abattoir full of retarded children. i think this is a great poem and i found my own meaning in it. Jo

Judy~ A very strong emotional piece I had to go see what "donnybrook" meant. Your poem taught me a new word! Great job expressing! Laura :)
