Abandoned Lace Evil knows your name. You did not even want them. You had them to please him, or to make him, do as you wanted. When that failed, you left… them. All! An empty life, to start again, to try to figure out, what went wrong? The mix of the recipe failed, the world, all about what makes… you smile or laugh. The cost… Your soul will be broken, and the weight difficult at times. but regardless of how you buy your way to freedom, you are lost, to regret. The ocean that swallows you, is your own sea of tears. You… could not see, what you wanted, unclear. You had, everything, solid, traded for sand. This poem was written in response to the comment, women leave too. Yes, they do. It does not matter who leaves. It is the damage they leave behind that matters.

Nicely written, Ann, I’m glad you can see it from both sides. The winds can blow from either direction but the damage left behind from the storm is the same. All the best. Hugs, John
