If it anything like your poems Richard i am sure i would. Unfortunately and shamefully i could probably count the number of books i have read on 1 hand. I have the aptitude patience and attention span of a crumb.

I volunteer as a barber for Kelowna Gospel mission providing haircuts for homeless men. Many in my opinion are better more compassionate people than some so-called successful people I know. They have a generosity of spirit that makes them wealthy. Our society puts to much emphasis on status and it is a false narrative. Each trades their lives for something. I think those who choose money make a poor bargain.

It is a child's greatest fear, but only if family life is not harmonious and as for a mother abandoning her child I would rather die. As Richard says - much to dwell whilst reading this poem. Blessings, Jennifer.

Cheers Jan As per your comment there are always exceptions to the rule and it very much is dependant on circumstance. Some children are better off unfortunately if they are unloved neglected or in any form of danger but sad if it should ever come to this . Thanks for your reading time and comment Mevrou. Baie Dankie

Much to ponder. Perhaps the larger question is who did you become? Many are broken by other’s choices while the blessed ones are purified.

I suppose Richard it's all up to the individual strength of the child. Some rise above it but most i fear fall prey to it and who can blame them. My soul sinks when i see people who seeming have won the lottery in life have everything and yet are seemingly unable to be grateful humble or treat other's with any sort or form of decency or human compassion
