A Zombie Holiday

“It’s the end of October time for vacation,”
said Mr. Graveyard Zombie, “it’s been a long duration
since we last went on a haunt across the nation,
and what should be our final destination?”
Replied Mrs. Zombie without any hesitation,
“I’m sure I know the perfect location;
back to the hood and haunt the next generation;
for it is they who gave us a life of vexation,
and this to be their consolation
for it’s we who are cursed with eternal damnation.”

Think I would come back and haunt the perishers that pestered me too but not in an evil way. Enjoyed reading your work John. Hugs, Emilia : )

I wrote this in about 15 minutes. There are over 5,000 words ending in 'tion' to rhyme; you could go on and on without running out of rhymes. The downside is all are multi-syllable so if you are counting syllables it makes it difficult.

Thanks, Jan! I don't really think it is scary enough to do well in the contest but I enjoyed writing it and I'm glad you enjoyed reading it.

Thank you, Kim, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not sure if it is scary enough or has enough of a Halloween theme but it was fun to write.

Oh, that is GOOD work, John. Not so scary but very clever!! (are you a Walking Dead fan like me?)

Thanks, Andrea. Actually I’m not a big fan of horror shows, perhaps if I watched Walking Dead it might be more scary. My Halloween theme is not very strong either but it was a fun write. I hope everyone enjoys reading it.
